It’s cold outside so I’m keeping warm with one of my favourites! Braised sea bass with fluffy jasmine rice ... simple to make and just absolutely delicious! Exactly what I needed after a long day of admin... feeling ready for another exciting week at @littlevietkitchen! Hope to cook for you there! 🍜👩🍳xxx (recipe in my book 📖)
“... To my mind this is the ultimate home comfort food. It never fails to bring back fond memories of large family meals, generally for a special occasion like Tết (New Year) or a wedding celebration as pork was considered a luxury, so symbolises wealth and fortune.
This is a beautiful and simple dish that showcases the key technique in Vietnamese cooking of slow braising in coconut water. Sweet, salty and spicy, it is best accompanied with sour and bitter pickles, and is perfectly balanced by serving with fluffy jasmine rice.
Slow cooked in the natural sweetness of coconut water, the pork is so juicy and tender that every bite melts in your mouth. Perhaps it is because we had this dish so rarely that even to this day I savour every mouthful like it’s my last...” _
Happy Lunar New Year’s eve everyone! 🧧🎏🏮Hope your pot of #ThitKho is braising right now 🙈

2019 is off to a great start already, with lots of exciting projects on the horizon and I can’t wait to share the next chapter of my adventure with you. However, I’ve had a little time over the holidays to take a deep breath and look back at some of the wonderful experiences I’ve had and the amazing people I have met so far on this wonderful journey. This video will always stand out for me, as it was my first opportunity to genuinely reach a global audience: My pho ga recipe for ‘Jamie’s FoodTube’ I will be forever grateful to @jamieoliver and his team for the chance to create this. None of this could have happened without the takented team at @rampagestudio who made producing this fun and effortless! Now I may just be seeing this as I can remember so vividly how I felt at the time, but I swear you can see the hope and excitement on my face and know you can definitely hear it in my voice! I’m fortunate enough to say though that even with all the hard days and constant obstacles that come with running a restaurant, my passion is still here and after 4 years of running my pass, I still wouldn’t change a minute of it!
So as much fun as it is to reminisce... Here’s to the the next 4 years: May they be filled with as much fun and joy as the last. 🤗
Want to make #PhoGa with me? Jamie’s Food Tube or the newest version of the recipe is in my cookbook! 📖

Hope to cook for as many of you as possible this year 🍜🤗💕 xxx #londonrestaurants #vietnamesefood #londonfood #pho #organic
A little introduction to me posted over on our restaurant account @littlevietkitchen. I thought I’d share it here for those of you who have recently joined me on my food journey! I’m very excited about 2019 and cannot wait for the adventure to continue! 🙈 As always, my gratitude and 💕love goes out to those who have been alongside me for years now. You will always be my inspiration to go on like it’s the first day! #DreamsCanComeTrue ✨(with a lot of hard work of course ☺️)
_ “...Thuy Pham was born in ‘Hanh My’, a small village in south Vietnam, her early childhood was surrounded by food. As the grandchild of farmers, she grew up amidst a happy tumult of livestock & produce, with a wonderful variety of fruits hanging from trees, morning markets & the amazing smells of traditional street food. Thuy & her family moved to the UK when she was just seven years old, seeking new opportunities at the close of the war. Whilst she calls England home, Thuy had always explored & maintained her connection to Vietnamese culture through its vibrant cuisine. Learning her craft through studying traditional recipes & techniques, passed down to her by her mother & other family members, she believes learning in her mother’s kitchen was the best training possible. Thuy started out on her own by launching supper clubs in her own living room. In April 2015, her life long culinary dream came true when she launched The Little Viet Kitchen, a restaurant tucked away in the trendy Chapel Market of London’s Islington. Thuy takes the best of her Vietnam roots & combines it with her London inspirations to create her dishes. In 2018 Thuy and her team were overjoyed to pick up a couple of awards and come runner up in The OFM UK’s Best Restaurant of the Year! The year also saw the release of her debut cookbook, which reached the no.1 spot on Amazon UK’s Asian Cookery category!...” _
I hope to cook for as many of you as I possibly can, so do visit me in London soon! I’m ready!! 👩🍳 Oh, mummy said I only ever smiled for food... so this pic is hungry me! 🙈
